Gratitude Changes Your Brain: Let's Tap Into Appreciation!

The noise and chaos of the outside world has a tendency to get really loud. When that happens, our thoughts can get all caught up in that negativity. During those times it's incredibly helpful to shift your focus toward appreciation and gratitude for something, even the smallest thing, that is positive in your life.
That being said, it's still very important to acknowledge and hold space for how you are feeling. You don't want to brush over the intense emotions. They are real, and legitimate. You are allowed to feel however you feel AND at the same time, you can be grateful and appreciative of what is going right (even if all you can come up with is that the sun is shining today). It doesn't have to be an either or type of situation. Intense emotion and gratitude can co-exist.
