EFT For When You Don't Feel Good Enough
"Don't let life discourage you; everyone who got where he is had to begin where he was."
We all can feel not good enough or inadequate at some point. But when the thought pattern becomes a non-stop cycle, there are strategies you can use to break free from the hamster wheel. Don't Compare Yourself Whether you're comparing yourself to friends and their accomplishments or what is being portrayed in the media - STOP it, it is not helpful in the slightest! Revisit Past Wins On the days you're feeling down, remind yourself of past achievements. I like to keep a folder on my computer of messages from past clients with stories of their success, reminding me that I played a part in their journey. Focus on the Process It can be easy to get caught up in focusing on an end goal. But enjoying the journey is important. Celebrate along the way. When you think about all the action you've taken already, it can help shift your perspective. Seek Support Therapists, counselors, and practitioners can be very helpful resources to guide you through creating shifts in your thought processes, and aiding in getting to the root of where these thoughts are coming from. Tapping is always my go to technique for moving through unhelpful thoughts and feelings. This week I guide you through a practice to help you do just that with thoughts of not being good enough.
