Tapping Into Creativity

Whether you are feeling stuck and wondering if you've lost your creative mojo OR you have a plethora of ideas but can't seem to decide which idea to pour your energy into, this tapping session is for you.

Creativity starts within. Sometimes we need to release the stagnant energy to get the ideas flowing again. And sometimes we need to get real quiet and listen to the inner voice that is gently trying to guide you.

Here is some tapping guidance for you. If you can't come up with an idea, try this: write down all the negative or limiting thoughts you have around being creative, ex: I'm not naturally creative, Coming up with a good idea is hard, All the good ideas have been taken etc. Once you have your list, use those words and tap saying each phrase until another thought or feeling arises. Tapping is a lot like following the bread crumbs. Be open to whatever comes up and see where your thoughts lead you.

If on the other hand, you are someone who has a ton of ideas but can't seem to figure out where to focus your time or energy, try this instead: write down your ideas, then dedicate time to tap on each one. You can ask yourself questions like: what makes you most excited about this idea, what does the idea feel like in your body, what might be holding you back from the idea, are there negative or limiting thoughts that arise? Take your time. This isn't a race. You may need to do this over several days.

Have a notebook nearby and write down any new insights that pop up. Be mindful of how you feel. Once you narrow down an idea, you can begin to tap on next steps. It can be a really fun process if you allow it to be!
