Chronic Pain

If you are someone who is experiencing pain in any shape and for any reason - it is important to examine the emotions and feelings you are experiencing. Emotions have the ability to exacerbate or reduce the sensation of pain. Start by asking yourself a few questions:

  • Where are you experiencing the pain in your body?

  • When did the pain first start?

  • What was going on in your life at that time?

  • Who were you spending time with during this time?

  • What are your feelings about having to deal with this pain?

  • If there was a benefit to having this pain, what would it be?

The answers to these question are a great starting point for exploring the origin of your pain, and determining what emotions are in the mix. It's the beginning of a self-discovery process that may just reveal more than you ever thought possible.

Getting Started

There are a variety of different approaches you can take when starting this process. If you are having a flare up, perhaps you begin by just tapping and breathing. Focus on really filling the belly up with air, and completely exhaling with each breath. Doing this for multi
