Going back to school can be an exciting time. It can also be stressful, and full of anxiety - not just for the kids, but for the parents too.
Getting into a new routine has its challenges. But, when your child has anxiety those challenges are quickly amplified. And I don't know about you, but when my kids are anxious, my anxiety levels start to soar. As parents, we of course want the best for our kids - we want them to feel comfortable, safe, and have fun when they are at school. So it's almost second nature that when you see your kid stressing, that you take on that stress yourself. When they hurt, we hurt. However, let's be honest, that isn't productive for anyone!
The energy here has been a bit chaotic and overwhelming this week. I was feeling it BIG time when I recorded this video. I'll be honest, I almost didn't post it because it all bubbles over and I cry. But, I feel so much better after allowing myself to feel it all.
